A Family Legacy

Chef Melanie, along with her sister Salena, created the name “A Mother’s Touch Catering” to honor the legacy of family cooking. The name reflects Melanie’s journey as a mother, passing down the love of cooking to her children, just as her mother and grandmother passed it down to her. Every dish is crafted with love and passion.

From a young age, Chef Melanie was her mom’s little helper in the kitchen. However, it wasn’t until after high school that she truly recognized the joy cooking brought her. With her family’s encouragement, she enrolled in culinary school, where she excelled. After graduating, she launched her own catering business in 2013.

Today, with the support of her loving husband, Andre Stewart, and her family, Chef Melanie is realizing her ultimate dream by opening A Mother’s Touch Bistro & Catering Restaurant. Her vision is simple yet powerful: to serve delicious, comforting soul food to all.
